We are a web start-up with a vision of revolutionizing the wedding industry. Wouldn't you like to be part of that?
We are a team of passionate and geeky entrepreneurs (except maybe one, who wishes he was a geek but just can't be one!) looking for energetic, interesting, quirky, passionate, tech-loving, collaborative wedding-philes to join our team. If you fit the bill, please email your resume to us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We are based in Toronto, Canada.
Currently, we are looking for the following people:
You are someone who likes the challenge of working for a start-up, but have lots of experience with programming, running development, strategizing, and having fun. We require an exceptional software development engineer who will work with our VP Product Development to improve and refine the Pikaari application. You will actively participate in the design and development of the entire project. Requires a university degree in computer science or computer engineering and 8+ years of experience in developing web applications. Command of Ruby on Rails and jQuery, and experience working in an Agile or Lean environment is a must.
You will be responsible for leading a team that manages accounts, works on sales strategy implementation and planning over a broad geographical area. The Sales Manager will be in charge of maximizing revenues to achieve quarterly targets, improving efficiencies and sustaining strong partner relationships within the assigned area. The core focus for this position is to drive revenue through leadership, managing key accounts and securing additional accounts.
You will work closely with the Sales Manager, approaching wedding vendors and increasing our profile within a given geographical area. You will prospect, consult with, and sign up local vendors according to our vendor criteria. We require someone who has 2+ years of experience in sales, including online, cold-calling and canvassing, and a track record of consistent success. Prior experience working from home and virtual office space is preferred.
